Special Design Fans

A smoother-running fan is a better-performing fan

RHF has created a more advanced configuration for its air inlets and impellers. We call it ‘Smoothflow’ because that’s precisely what it does. ‘Smoothflow’ ensures that there is less turbulence experienced as the fan operates, which in turn means that there will be less noise, a feature that will become increasingly important. But the ultimate benefit of our improved inlet and impeller solution is a higher level of efficiency, which, of course, delivers reductions in energy and consumption costs.

Lagging as Standard

Our fans have been designed with lagging capabilities in mind. All of our fans are engineered and designed so that lagging can be easily included. For us, lagging is not an afterthought. Our lagging is enclosed within a second casing, which is aesthetically more pleasing and allows for easier fan maintenance. Lagging does not have to be removed to access the fan.

Tabbed Assembly

RHF has invested time in our fans' design and manufacturing process. We have a unique tabbing process used to put the fans together. Not only does this increase the speed of manufacturing our fans, but it also creates a high standard and consistency that is hard to find elsewhere.

  • No4 Plug Swingout

The customer was facing issues with their existing supplier, including poor temperature isolation and performance. RHF provided a solution by redesigning the unit for easy installation onto the machine, complete with swing-out pivots. The inlet is pre-set and attached to the unit, eliminating the need for welding pivot points and simplifying the alignment of the inlet cone. Insulation in the main swing-out section helps prevent excessive external temperatures.

Benefits for the customer include reduced work, easier connection of the inlet to internal ducting, and no associated inlet positioning problems. Additionally they experienced better performance and much lower external temperatures on the fan unit. This fan is designed to handle maximum air temperatures of up to 250ºC.

  • No.4 Plug

For this design, the customer was tired of waiting for up to 12 weeks for fan delivery from their existing supplier. RHF offered a bespoke industrial fan solution designed and tested with impellers that fitted within the existing casing dimensions. The benefit to the customer was improved performance and significantly reduced lead times. This fan is designed to handle maximum air temperatures of up to 450ºC.

A seamless collaboration

At RHF, we have access to cutting-edge technology to provide you with the best possible service. Our customers receive 3D and 2D AutoCAD drawings alongside our Centrifugal Fan quotations, making planning and integrating our fans into your projects easier than ever. We understand the importance of seamless collaboration, and our design resources are here to support your vision.

Rigorous testing

Testing is crucial when developing our ideas and designs. That is why we have tested every category of impeller and product configuration to BS848 as a minimum standard, with our records now spanning hundreds of products.

Each RHF product comes with technical support documentation as standard. This documentation details all aspects of product composition and performance.
